According to the manufacturer, the SuperAV Land shares approximately 85% of its architecture with the amphibious model, including the chassis, the robust 700-horsepower IVECO Cursor 16 engine, 5,500 Nm (about 1,500 lb-ft) of torque, and the Allison 4800 SP automatic transmission.
However, the new vehicle lacks flotation capability, which allowed for a series of modifications focused on additional protection and land mobility.
In terms of dimensions, the SuperAV Land is 0.45 meters shorter in length and 0.19 meters lower in height than the original version. With a total combat weight of up to 31.5 tons, the vehicle can carry up to 11 occupants, including driver, commander, and combat team.
The SuperAV Land was designed to meet the operational demands of land forces operating in high-risk environments, where troop protection and tactical superiority in mobility and resilience are top priorities. By eliminating amphibious capability, IDV focused its efforts on strengthening the armor systems, making the vehicle even more resilient against ballistic threats, mines, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The presentation of the SuperAV Land reinforces Iveco Defence Vehicles’ commitment to expanding its range of modular armored solutions, offering specific alternatives for different mission types and combat scenarios.
